A gold Patek Phillipe wristwatch helped to raise over $400,000 at a special auction for watch enthusiasts.

Antiquorum raised $4,274,449 from the Important Collector's Wristwatches, Pocket Watches and Clocks auction, with $417,500 raised by the 18-carat pink gold, tonneau-shaped gentleman's watch.

Bidders came from North America, Norway, China, Israel and other countries.

Participants bid over the phone, in the auction room and online.

The auction took place at the Essex House Hotel in New York on June 15th.
