Malabar Jewels and Diamonds has revealed new expansion plans, with four new stores planned across India.

The Indian jeweller is opening a new store in Bangalore, its eighth retail outlet and it also plans to move into Mangalore and Hubli in Karnataka, Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.

The new store was opened by teenage tennis sensation Sania Mirza and Kerala superstar Mohan Lal, according to Indian Television.

Mohan Lal has been helping to promote Malabar Gold's gold chain and the company has now been releasing television ads across all Kerala channels.

Sania Mirza is now going to join the gold promotion and feature in a new ad campaign for the product, which will be spread across all media forms.

The company includes a Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) stamp with each gold article it sells, proving it is 100 per cent hallmarked 916 gold.

In addition, outlets hold a Karat Analyser, which customers can use to verify the quality of gold they are selling or purchasing.track
