One of the UAE's leading international banks has celebrated the second anniversary of its Gold Branch this week.<br/><br/>Standard Chartered opened the branch in Dubai's gold souk two years ago and leading figures from the gold industry in Dubai came together to help celebrate the event.<br/><br/>Standard Chartered's UAE chief executive, Ray Ferguson, told AME Info: "Standard Chartered's Gold Branch, located in Dubai's world-famous gold souk, has enjoyed tremendous success in its first two years.<br/><br/>"It has helped the bank effectively serve the burgeoning gold trade and ensured that Standard Chartered is helping Dubai maintain its reputation as the City of Gold."<br/><br/>The company was named the official bank for the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group's biggest ever Dubai Shopping Festival gold promotion earlier this year.<img alt="track" src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=8144938"/>
