Pop star Christina Milian has revealed that she has a collection of gold jewellery and other more unusual items that she has accumulated from fans.

The young star is constantly offered various gifts from fans when she appears in concert in various countries, with items often reflecting the culture of the area she stars in.

In particular, fans in Asia present her with particularly grand and luxurious items.

"It's all about honour in their culture and they're constantly giving gifts, like right off their back," RatetheMusic quoted her as saying.

"You'll meet somebody and they'll come over and they're like, 'Oh my gosh! Milian!' And they start crying and they'll take like antique jewellery that a grandparent probably gave 'em and be like, 'Here, please take this!' And I don't wanna offend 'em so I have these pieces of jewellery, like really nice jewellery, that they've given me. It's such an honour."
