UAE firm sailing into profitsTuesday, 15th March 2005 (2985 views) An UAE yacht builder's gold plated boats have won him an award.Mohammed Al Shaali builds boats for Gulf Craft and uses 24-carat gold for various fittings and features on the yachts. The company is now seen as one of the world's leading yacht producers and exports over 70 per cent of its output. Chairman Mr Al Shaali told AME Info: "Unlike many competitors, Gulf Craft is able to give clients a whole array of top-of-the-line equipment as standard fixtures and not optional extras, while offering exceptional flexibility in accommodating personal specifications. "Other than variations that affect the structural integrity of the yachts, clients can select from a wide choice of interior layouts, configuration, and materials. Aesthetically, the yachts are equally impressive - with lavish use of Italian marble, natural leather and 24-carat gold-plated fittings." The company has taken a considerabe amount of orders since it launched its Majesty Yachts brand at last year's boat show.
