Maltese custom department's jewellery up for auctionTuesday, 15th March 2005 (4212 views) A host of gold jewellery items seized by the customs department in Malta are to be put up for auction.During the last few months, various sections within the department have been holding investigations into the illegal importation of gold articles, which led to a number of arrests being made. The department is now going to auction the many items, which were confiscated by the department on discovery, according to di-ve. Items include gold bracelets, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, rings, necklaces and tie pins. In addition, there are a number of sets including necklace, bracelet, pendant and earring collections. The auction will take place on March 20th at Customs House in Valletta.
