WGC holding annual meeting in DubaiMonday, 14th March 2005 (2755 views) The annual board meeting of the World Gold Council (WGC) is to take place in Dubai this year.At the meeting a host of issues will be covered, including an assessment of Dubai's role in the Middle East and the recent developments of the Dubai Metals and Commodities (DMCC). In addition, the implementation of the Dubai Goods Delivery and the establishment of the Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) will also be discussed. Moaz Barakat, WGC managing director for the Middle East, Turkey and Pakistan, told Dubai Interact: "We are delighted to hold this important conference in Dubai, which is synonymous with gold and jewellery." Participants will also look into the main challenges facing the global gold market and discuss the council's plans for the next three years. The meeting will take place in Dubai on March 21st and 22nd.
