A new online book hopes to help consumers get value for money when buying an engagement ring.<br/><br/>Buying an engagement is generally a large investment, and something that most people will not do too often so the risk of making a poor purchase is great.<br/><br/>How to Buy an Engagement Ring: Without Getting Ripped Off! offers consumers advice on what to look for, where to go and how much to pay.<br/><br/>The book contains advice on the four C's (colour, clarity, cut and carat) and what to look for in platinum, yellow gold and white gold bands. <br/><br/>It goes on to cover manipulative sales techniques, bargaining and insurance.<br/><br/>Author John Yasmer hopes the publication will help people select and purchase their perfect ring, at a price that is right.<br/><br/>"Consumers will be amazed at the subtle, yet powerful ways jewelers manipulate them into spending more.
