Philadelphia hosts worldwide jewellery eventThursday, 17th February 2005 (3908 views) The latest jewellery designs from across the world are to go on display in Philadelphia this weekend at globalDesign.Items made from high carat gold, platinum and precious stones will be showcased, created by jewellers in countries such as Spain, Turkey and the US. Cindy Edelstein, president of the Jeweler's Resource Bureau, the company presenting globalDesign, explained that the aim of the event is "to introduce this level of international talent to the diverse world of gallery and store owners who come to Baltimore each February for the fine American art jewellery and crafts that are on display then". This year is the fifth edition of the conference, which features many designers who do not exhibit anywhere else in the US. The event will take place from February 18th until the 20th at the Philadelphia Marriott.
