Consumers continue to win at the Dubai Shopping Festival and people making purchases from the Dubai Gold and Jewellery Group have been coming from all across the world.

According to the group gold is definitely the flavour of the month, with the amount of jewellery bought and the numbers of coupons being distributed at a high.

Tawhid Abdullah explained to Strategiy: "Not only are we witnessing a tremendous percentage increase in sales of gold jewellery, our nationality profiling reveals that visitors to Dubai have a distinct preference for purchasing gold.

"Even our winners come from different nationalities. Amongst the 14 winners, we have as of today, we now have a nationality mix of people from UAE, Yemen, Sweden, India, Philippines, Syria and Sri Lanka."

People can win up to 32 kilos of gold in daily draws of one kilo each, with people all having different plans for spending their winnings.

The gold offers will run for the whole duration of the festival, with raffle tickets available with purchases of gold jewellery and the chance to win five kilos of gold with purchases of commemorative coins.
