Thursday, 27th January 2005 (9396 views) US jewellers are trying to find ways to attract the Hispanic market, since latest figures show its annual spending could reach over $1 trillion by 2008.<br/><br/>The Jewellery Opinion Council (JCOC) is now planning to hold an online seminar to help inform jewellers about the topic<br/><br/>MVI marketing president, Elizabeth Chatelain, told National Jeweler: "Almost every geographic area of the country has a Hispanic market, and all retailers should be benefiting from it. It is an untapped market of tremendous potential, and most retailers happen into it by accident."<br/><br/>'The Hispanic Jewelry Market in the U.S.A.: The Hidden Giant' is due to take place on February 26 and will include the Hispanic community's jewellery buying expectations and habits.<br/><br/>According to the JCOC, it hopes the seminar will "help the jewellery industry take its piece of the pie".<br/><br/>Typical pieces that are expected to be popular with Hispanic consumers are right hand rings and three-stone jewellery.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=7657464"/>
