Sharon Osbourne donates jewellery to Tsunami appeal

Thursday, 20th January 2005 (4573 views)

Sharon Osbourne, the beleaguered wife of bat-eating rock hellraiser Ozzy, has donated $190,000 (£100,000) worth of jewellery to the tsunami relief effort.

Ms Osbourne was herself the victim of a $3.6 million (£2 million) jewellery theft last November.

Amongst Ms Osbourne's gifts were a diamond necklace and a ring.

The jewellery was a contribution to the UK Radio Aid initiative. In addition, Ms Osbourne recently donated $190,000 (£100,000) in cash to the victims of the Boxing Day tragedy.

Ms Osbourne's husband, Ozzy, had given the jewellery to Sharon as a Christmas present, just one day before the tragedy.
