R&B singer Seal has announced his engagement to German-born supermodel, Heidi Klum, sealing the engagement with a 10 carat canary yellow diamond set in a yellow gold ring.

The star proudly showed off the ring in New York at the launch of her show Project Runaway..

According to E! News, the 41-year-old proposed to the supermodel while they were vacationing at a Canadian ski resort.

Klum's spokespeople have confirmed that the couple are engaged.

According to the New York Daily News, the model was spotted at a New Year's Eve party, wearing the giant canary diamond ring. One witness described it as "a serious rock".

The couple started dating about 12 months ago following Klum's break-up with Formula One racer Flavio Briatore. The model has one daughter from the racer, Leni, born months after their break-up.
