Pearl jeweller launches new gold chainThursday, 13th January 2005 (4566 views) Jewellery giant Mikimoto has unveiled the new series of its popular Pearls in Motion collection, first launched in 2002.The internationally renowned firm, which produces cultured pearls and pearl jewellery, has launched the new collection, billed as setting a new standard of design for pearl jewellery. It is available in the leading jewellery boutiques in the United Arab Emirates and other GCC countries. "Since 1893, the quality and allure of Mikimoto cultured pearls have made Mikimoto the pearls of choice," said Emma Clarke of Mikimoto. "And for that, we are confident that the market in the Middle East region will also recognise and distinguish the high popularity of the Mikimoto pearls." What makes the new collection unique is said to be the extension of the patented mechanism - which allows the pearl to glide effortlessly along the 18kt gold chain - to diamonds. Movable spheres of pave diamonds complement the pearls, with each piece in the collection allowing the wearer to reposition each pearl and diamond sphere along an 18kt gold chain and remain in place after being removed. The collection is exclusive to Mikimoto.
