Ormonde Mining has revealed that it may have struck gold on the Trives project in northwest Spain, one of the company's five Spanish gold ventures.

Drilling revealed typical features of shear-zone hosted gold systems. Visible gold has also been observed in several quartz veins.

The diamond drilling programme at Portas was one of the first explorations to test the depth and width of surface mineralization in the region.

Drilling has intersected the depth extensions of gold-bearing vein structures, Ormonde said.
