Expensive jewellery and designer clothes lured Latina star, Jennifer Lopez, from her desire to be on stage.

She has told media that as her fame grew, her passion for wearing designer clothes and expensive jewellery made her other talents suffer. She fell in love with the expensive fashion items and would regularly show them off at glamorous parties.

"It was all a bit mad. For a girl like me, wearing gorgeous clothes and having all this attention was amazing. It was like being a princess," she told media.

"But it didn't take me long to realise that that sort of fame can be scary. The more the circus builds up around you, the more you start to lose all those intentions that get you there in the first place."

The singer actress has also seen a fair share of wedding rings since becoming a star, most recently marrying Marc Anthony, six months after splitting from Cris Judd.

Her first marriage, to Ojani Noa, lasted less than a year.
