US designer creates new range

Tuesday, 14th December 2004 (6150 views)

American jewellery designer Miata Jones has revealed a new collection of handmade jewellery, including necklaces, earrings and bracelets.

The pieces are available in New York and Tokyo and come in 18 to 22 carat gold.

Ms Jones commented: "I work with any shape, cut or colour stone that catches my eye. I try to make a statement with each piece, which I hope others feel when they wear my jewellery.

"I like to make pieces that I would choose if I were looking for myself or friends. As my personal style changes, I am constantly driven to create new work to keep my designs fresh, modern and classic."

Prices range from $50 to $600 and pieces include precious and semi precious stones such as sapphire, aquamarine, citrine and amethyst.
