Jewellery advice for consumers on new US site

Consumers in the US looking for the latest jewellery creations can now get help from a new website launched by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

The group has created the new website to help reduce the stress of shopping for jewellery consumers during the festive period.

GIA vice president of marketing and public relations, Kathryn Kimmel, said: "Our new holiday microsite was designed to inform and educate, as well as give the public confidence to make informed decisions as they shop for these important and festive purchases."

Information on the site includes data on currently jewellery trends and the most popular pieces and coloured gemstones.

In addition, information on historic, antique and pearl jewellery is provided, as well as care tips and diamond purchasing advice.
