Damas helps promote international jewellery brands

Wednesday, 8th December 2004 (4318 views)

Well known jewellery group Damas has been performing well after being placed in charge of the international jewellery and watch brands pavilion at the IJD show.

By managing the section, Damas has been given the most prominent hall and the chance to organise individual stands for international brands.

Among the 50 brands on show in the display are Tiffany & Co, Fortis, Laurentia and Leo Pizzo.

A host of stunning displays have been impressing visitors at the event and this is the first time an exclusive section has been set up for the sector.

Tawhid Abdullah, managing director of Damas told AME Info: "Dubai is rightfully known as the 'City of gold, gems and diamond jewellery'. No doubt the smooth and secure infrastructure facilities created by the Government of Dubai have hugely encouraged the trade in promoting the gold and jewellery segment.

"In addition, the presence of top international jewellery brands all available right here in the souks and the shopping malls of Dubai, has played a major role in creating this reputation."

It is hoped the pavilion will help "create ripples" by increasing brand awareness and confirmed orders.
