Awareness of branded jewellery on the increase

Thursday, 11th November 2004 (3823 views)

The Jewelry Consumer Opinion Council (JCOC) has released a new report claiming that there is a growing consumer awareness of branded jewellery.

According to National Jeweler, the survey was conducted in October and showed that 9.6 per cent of participants owned branded jewellery and 64.6 per cent felt there were more jewellery brands now available.

However the JCOC claims that there is still lots of room for greater brand visibility.

National jewellery chains were top of the list for finding branded jewellery and many consumers preferred brands from chains such as Zale or Kays.

The second most popular place where consumers expected to find branded jewellery was local independent jewellers.
