Thursday, 28th October 2004 (6206 views) With just a few weeks left until Diwali, Indian consumers are turning into shopaholics, with some queuing up to shop until midnight.<BR/><BR/>Streets and traffic are packed solid as people try to purchase their all important gifts, with gold jewellery a must.<BR/><BR/>Despite the fact that gold has gone up in price, Indian consumers are still keen to buy the precious metal.<BR/><BR/>Vikas Vora, a jeweller in Chhota Bazaar told Express News Service: "Gold jewellery is still in great demand. <BR/><BR/>"People are purchasing without any second thoughts. After Diwali, the marriage season starts so I am expecting a good business."<BR/><BR/>The store has got prepared for the increase in demand, since it is already a popular shopping spot amongst women.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3731530"/>
