Bulgari necklace adds golden glamour to Venice film festivalWednesday, 8th September 2004 (4985 views) Adding to the glitz and glamour at this year's Venice Film Festival, a gold Bulgari necklace has made an appearance on one of the top stars attending. The 61st festival was aiming to compete more with the likes of Cannes this year but still kept away from a party atmosphere and maintained more of an intimate approach, offering a special auction event. A yellow gold Bulgari necklace was part of the event, run by the American Foundation for AIDS research (amFAR) and helped raise $40,000 for the charity, according to Premiere Magazine. The piece was worn by Lost in Translation star Scarlett Johansson, who paraded around the venue to help increase bids for the jewellery. Now half way through, the festival has definitely attracted more Hollywood films and US stars this year, as a result of a revamp by Marco Muller, the new artistic director for the event.
