Latest statistics have shown that gold output by volume has increased in South Africa, according to Mining Weekly.<BR/><BR/>The figures from Statistics South Africa show that output by volume rose by 0.5 per cent during the three months to June, compared with January to March.<BR/><BR/>However the agency claimed that seasonally-adjusted gold output during June fell by 3.6 per cent.<BR/><BR/>In addition year-on-year sales of gold also fell in South Africa during the three months to the end of May, dropping by 4.2 per cent.<img src="http://directnews.dehavilland.co.uk/dn.gif?feedid=196&itemid=3228582"/>
