TV channel planned to sell gold Elvis gunFriday, 13th August 2004 (3244 views) A European cable TV channel has been stopped from selling a gold plated gun once belonging to Elvis Presley. The item was part of an Elvis auction on Auction-world TV and was engraved with "Taking Care of Business", the Press Association reports. It was hoped the gun would fetch up to $110,000 in the auction on Sunday, but media regulators stopped the sale, as it would break UK TV advertising rules. The Elvis auction features a host of rock 'n' roll memorabilia, which also includes diamond jewellery owned by "The King". Reportedly Elvis was a gun fanatic and used to shoot TV screens when he was bored.
