VicenzaOro2 expo proves a successWednesday, 30th June 2004 (4512 views) Exhibitors and organisers have revealed an optimistic outlook following this year's VicenzaOro2 exhibition displaying gold and jewellery, according to Diamonds.net.The 29th edition of the event attracted 7,691 Italian buyers, retailers and wholesales, an increase of nearly five per cent on last year. Exhibitors and organisers were reportedly satisfied with the show's outcome although they noted that market problems were not fully over yet. Manuela Dal Lago, the fair's president said: "The forecasts on Vicenzaoro2 2004 ranged from realistic pessimism to moderate optimism. Final data confirmed the second hypothesis." Andrea Turcato, the fair's secretary general also explained: "One must also consider the encouraging signs we're getting from jewellery export data covering the first quarter of 2004, where a 10 per cent gain in the month of March indicates a definite, albeit slow, recovery of the jewellery sector." Business conducted at the exhibition was in line with usual trends and saw companies that added value to their piece in terms of brand naming and marketing doing particularly well.
