UK fashion is being influenced by blockbuster film Troy and the forthcoming Olympics with gold jewellery a key item.

Costumes, styles and Greek designs are all major influences on the UK woman this season, according to the Telegraph.

In Troy Diane Kruger dresses in a white dress edged in delicate gold, wearing gold filigree earrings, chunky necklaces and bracelets.

A host of gold items are now available for wannabe goddesses to adorn themselves with.

In clothes gold is used to set off outfits, with Michael Kors collection including a silk dress bound with gold leather straps and white dresses covered in gold embroidery.

Ranging in price and quality, gold pieces are available including hoop earrings, chunky necklaces, bangles and chandelier earrings from the Freedom range at Topshop on the high street, whilst Butler & Wilson offer more expensive items.

In addition Wright & Teague offer antique looking, beaten gold necklaces and earrings and a new London jewellery boutique Laura Lee offers gold hoops with gold discs.
