Personal jewellery service proves popular with customers

Thursday, 13th May 2004 (4306 views)

A US jeweller has highlighted the benefits of offering a personal service to customers.

Goldsmith Dick Krejci from Meritage Jewelry Concepts claims he takes pride in his work and is able to offer customers a personalised service, according to Contra Costa Times.

"People like the idea of being able to talk to somebody who knows what's going on versus going to a mall where they'll end up taking jewellery to someone like me," Mr Krejci explained.

A popular service at the jewellers is pendant design, where Mr Krejci uses a range of materials that customers bring in from their trips to exotic places.

"These make a great gift because you don't have to know what ring size it is," he added.

"You may have to change the length of a chain somewhere down the line, but pendants are a little more versatile. 99 per cent of my original creations are most often sold before it's even made."
