Bulgari and Leviev unite to form diamond jewellery businessWednesday, 12th May 2004 (4264 views) A new agreement between Lev Leviev and Bulgari has been announced to develop the group's diamond jewellery business.Both plan to set up a Swiss based company owned equally by each party involved. Bulgari Group CEO Francesco Trapani told IDEX Online: "This agreement will have a strategic role in helping us consolidate our leadership position in the jewellery world market." It is hoped the deal will allow Bulgari to boost its diamond jewellery production and to offer the best collections in terms of quality and cost. Last year Bulgari had a turnover of 760 million and has more than 180 stores across the world. Lev Leviev's turnover is over $2.5 billion and is the world's biggest cut diamonds producer.
