Gold exhibition to run for extra two days

Thursday, 29th April 2004 (4598 views)

The Wonders of Gold exhibition is being extended for an additional two days in a response to jeweller requests.

Organisers claim the move will also allow more visitors to attend the event at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre that puts 28 jewellery stores in one location.

Bahrain Convention and Exhibition Bureau (BCEB) acting general manager Kadem Al Saeed told Gulf Daily News: "So far 7,000 people visited the show. Hopefully there will be more people visiting over the weekend and during the holidays."

A selection of jewellery is on display by Bahrain jewellers including gold jewellery and luxury watches.

The free of charge expo was originally due to finish tomorrow but will now welcome visitors on Saturday and Sunday as well.

The event was organised by the BCEB, in collaboration with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the World Gold Council.
