Barbara Streisand auctions jewellery for charity

Thursday, 29th April 2004 (4719 views)

Vintage costume jewellery owned by Barbra Streisand will form part of a collection of items to be auctioned for charity.

Hundreds of pieces of memorabilia will be sold on June 5 in West Hollywood in the 'Her Name is Barbra' auction.

Items span the whole of the singer and actress' career from early 1960s to present day.

Proceeds will go to charities that are supported by the Streisand Foundation.

The move follows the auctioning of Kim Basinger's 18 carat gold Tiffany Ring for an animal organisation.
