An international gold conference to be held next month will feature former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev.<BR/><BR/>Mr Gorbachev will speak to participants at the conference about corporate government, private investment, sustainable development, responsible economic policy and mining in Peru.<BR/><BR/>Speaking on May 7, world leaders in mining will be addressed by the former president from companies such as Newmont Mining Corp, Barrick Gold Corp and AngloGold, according to Reuters.<BR/><BR/>In addition a range of other industry executives will take part in the event on the precious metal.<BR/><BR/>The conference will be held in Lima from May 4-7 and is hosted by the National Society of Mining, Petroleum and Energy.
