Tuesday, 13th April 2004 (4731 views)

A top Danish jewellery company is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary next week, marked by a new collection of definitive items.

New designs by Georg Jensen to mark its 100th anniversary include pure and sculptural items, geometric rings spelling out "100" and white gold designs covered in diamonds.

Hans-Kristian Hojsgaard, Jensen's president and CEO told IHT: "We call it 'purity that lives' and the whole brand platform is about remaining loyal to design language."

The whole Georg Jensen range is said to be based on elegance, simplicity and understated luxury.

Additional new items include new jewellery lines, an updated 18 carat gold version of the classic Koppel watch and Fusion items which use three colour white, red and yellow gold.

The company was first founded in 1904 and has featured a number of items by top modern designers including sculptors and cigar cutters.
