Golden touch for major new mall

A major new shopping mall has opened in Bhubaneswar in India that offers a host of jewellery retail outlets.

The Forum Mart, which saw it first store opened on Saturday, is a 1.75 lakh square foot modern commercial complex located in the heart of the city.

The leading store, Big Bazaar, commands an enormous 36,000 sq ft space, which boasts a wide range of quality gold jewellery, and was the first shop to open.

“We are proud to open our ninth Big Bazaar in the country at Bhubaneswar”, commented Kishore Biyani, managing director, Pantaloon Retail India.

The mall construction cost Rs 20 crore and will herald up to 50 stores serving the retail needs of the city.

The mall will also boast air conditioning, terrace gardens and glass capsule elevators.
