Glamorous gold rises up the fashion agendaThursday, 12th February 2004 (4580 views) Glamorous gold jewellery is becoming a staple of both A-list celebrities and high fashion according to a number of players in the US jewellery industry.Colour and drama are the key themes to the latest jewellery fashion, according to designers at the 2004 spring shows in New York and a number of fashion experts. New designs such as chandelier earrings are becoming popularised by figures such as Jennifer Aniston and Patricia Heaton, with colour also playing an important role. Jeffrey Josephson, president of Raymond Lee Jewelers in Boca Raton and Palm Beach Gardens, says that new ranges of designer pieces will play an important role in the latest fashion. This year the focus is on the ears,' Mr Josephson explained to the South Sun Sentinel. 'Women will be wearing upswept hairstyles to show off the dramatic earring styles that are quickly gaining in popularity. With colour also proving essential to the 'bling bling' trend, Mr Josephson identifies gold as a frontrunner in the glamour stakes. The dramatic colours we've been seeing in clothing for the past several seasons is also showing up in jewellery, Mr Josephson says. Colour is present on everything from gold, he commented, adding that it marked a return to the jewellery classic.
