AccessibilityThis page deals with accessibility on the World Gold Council websites. Topics covered on this page:
ImagesAs much as possible we have provided alternative text to images, so that visually impaired users and people using text-only browsers do not miss out on information which images on the site provide. MediaFlash is often used within the World Gold Council websites. We support version 7+ of the Flash Player, which can be downloaded from the Adobe website. We also make use of the Adobe PDF document format for posting some images on line. The free Adobe Reader browser plugin can be downloaded from here. Site navigation and javascriptJavascript is not required to access any part of a World Gold Council website. There is also a website sitemap which lists nearly all the webpages run by the World Gold Council. In modern browsers all plain text links on the site are coloured gold; and normally underlined too. In older browsers which do not support cascading style sheets links are rendered in the default format for the browser, usually blue and underlined. LinksWe have checked all links on this site at the time of website publication, and all links are accurate and in working order. In addition links to external sites will be periodically checked. If you find a broken link however, please email the webmaster, using this contact form, with details of the link text and the page on which it is located and we will fix it as soon as possible. Access keysAccess keys are combinations of keys that can be used to navigate through the site without the use of a mouse, for the benefit of users who find using a mouse difficult. We have provided access keys for the top level pags on this website:
Access keys are supported by the following browsers:
What you need to do to use access keys depends on your browser:
